Life Group Guide - 04.28.19
For the week of April 29th - May 5th
Diluted - Me OR We
Scripture This Week:
“Then the Lord said, it is not good that man should be alone.”
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
Main Thought This Week:
This week’s message considers the ways we are prone to make our faith simply between ourselves and Jesus, not actively pursuing Christ with others. Modern Christian culture loves to focus on Podcast channels and quiet time with Jesus but often lacks a drive for the community God has called us to be: the Church. Our sermon reminds us that we have been blessed with each other for a reason and we do not have to walk out following Jesus alone.
1. Here at Grace City, we like to use the phrase “Better Together,” because we believe we were not meant to do this journey alone. In what ways have you seen the idea of being better together go well in your life?
2. The Bible explains that the Church is not a building or an organization of programs but a people, a community who are spiritual family with one another. Why is it that the church is often categorized as an institution rather than the people of God?
3. Why do you suppose it is so important that God would command for His people to meet together in Hebrews 10:24-25? Why is that such an overlooked command by Christians?
4. If this is a reality that you believe, what does it look like for you to invite others into the family of God in the way that it was intended to be?
