Prayer Pods

“Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.” - 1 Chronicles 16:11

Introducing Prayer Pods

Prayer Pods are a new initiative by Grace City Eugene that will replace our current model of Tuesday and Thursday Morning Prayer Gatherings. While the old model is being replaced, the heart remains the same:

We desire to create spaces for our church members to gather for prayer and to seek God’s face together on a weekly basis.

Prayer Pods are small groups of 3-5 people that meet weekly and go through a prayer guide provided by Grace City. Once a week, Prayer Pods gather will online, over the phone, or in-person to pray through the guide for 15-20 minutes. These guides focus on a wide range topics like education in Lane County, medical professionals in our church and city, our county’s local leadership, and so much more.

Each Pod has a leader who is responsible for coordinating and communicating details of their weekly gathering and leading their group through the prayer guide. Leaders will receive a biweekly check in from our staff for gathering accountability and acquiring feedback on prayer guides or any other needs.

Prayer Guides

Each prayer guide is designed to either be read by the leader or to simply communicate the heart of each prayer topic in such a way that a leader can use their own words and heart to communicate the prayer points. Click here to see an example prayer guide.

What’s the Commitment?

Our goal is that Prayer Pods gather online or in-person weekly. We understand that some weeks are busier than others, so cancelled gatherings are not the end of the world. But the idea is that Pods would gather once a week for prayer. While we do not expect you to establish a consistent time and will not hold you accountable to a scheduled day, you may find it most effective to establish a weekly routine of when your Prayer Pod meets.
