Prepare for Rain
Grace City Church Capital Campaign
A Faith-Fueled Step Toward a Long-Term Home for Grace City Church
Updated: January 2026
Why “Prepare for Rain”?
We believe God has been calling Grace City Church into a season of faith-filled preparation. Just as a farmer prepares the soil before the rain comes, we set out to prepare our hearts, lives, and finances for what we believed God was going to do in and through our church. The Prepare for Rain Campaign began as a step of obedience, anticipation, and trust—believing God would provide a long-term home for Grace City in Eugene.
And what God has done since then has been far more than we imagined.
How It Started
When we launched Prepare for Rain in June 2025, our goal was simple:
To raise $100,000 toward a future facility for Grace City Church.
At the time, we didn’t have a building yet. We didn’t know the timeline. We simply believed God was calling us to prepare in faith before the opportunity arrived.
By His grace, the church responded with incredible generosity.
To date, nearly $65,000 has been pledged, leaving about $35,000 still to go.
How God Has Provided
In early 2026, God unexpectedly opened a new door:
Grace City Church will begin worship gatherings on March 8th in Joy Church’s building on Gateway Loop.
What began as preparing for “someday” has become preparation for right now. This isn’t just a new location—it is space for ministry. Space for discipleship. Space for families. Space to reach new people. Space to grow as a church planted in Eugene for the long haul.
This rental opportunity also gives us room to grow into—with a long-term vision of potentially purchasing the facility in the coming years. God has generously and abundantly provided beyond what we could have imagined.
And Scripture reminds us that we are called to respond to His generosity with our own.
Why This Campaign Matters Now More Than Ever
Prepare for Rain is no longer just about preparing for a future building. It’s about stepping into the space God has already entrusted to us—and outfitting it for gospel ministry.
As Joy Church transitions out and takes some of their equipment with them, we have immediate needs as we prepare this building for Grace City’s next season:
Updating signage and visibility for our church
Strengthening worship and production in the auditorium
Outfitting Kid City and youth ministry environments
Creating hospitality spaces where guests feel welcomed and loved
Preparing this facility to serve as a base for discipleship, outreach, and mission across Eugene
Finishing this campaign will help us steward this opportunity with strength, excellence, and faith.
Prepare for Rain With Us
To Those Who Have Already Given or Committed
Thank you. Your faith and obedience helped bring us to this moment.
As we step into this new chapter, would you prayerfully consider giving above and beyond your original commitment—so that we can prepare this space well?
To Those Who Haven’t Yet Jumped In
Now that we know where God is leading us, we have a clearer picture of what’s needed.
Would you prayerfully consider joining the campaign now—helping us close the remaining gap and finish strong together?
And To Everyone
Above all, we invite every person in our church family to commit to prayer:
For the Lord’s favor and provision
For a harvest of changed lives
For disciples made and a church firmly rooted in this city
God’s Still Moving
Prepare for Rain started with faith in what God might do.
Now we are standing in the early evidence of what He is already doing.
Let’s finish strong—not for a building alone, but for a church planted in Eugene, making disciples, advancing the gospel, and ready for the rain God is sending.
